Travel Hacking Through Paris For Business or Leisure
Dreaming ahead to 2021? Time to prepare for your Paris adventure.I fell in love with France over 28 years agoIt has been an unrelenting love affair ever since. Daydreaming about a field of lavender walked through in Provence; savoring rich, vanilla, rum soaked canel in Bordeaux; lingering in Parisian cafs near the Seine River. Traveling to my destinations of choice, predictably, I purchased extra luggage, filling it with the usual suspects; French linens, luxurious soaps, coffee, art and antique treasures; with the sole intent of prolonging my experience. Making the decision to spend my “semi-retirement” years in France, exquisitely blends to satisfy my hunger for a more full, balanced and simpler life.I have been planning my escape for years. Attempting to time the merger perfectly. In 2018.I made the leap. And now.I’m here. And although I started my love affair with France in Paris; then found my way to the beautiful south of France in the Languedoc-Roussillon; Paris stays with me. always. The memories of your first love, normally does.I take the TGV (train) to Paris, once a month (it’s only a 3.5 hour journey from where I live near Montpellier); returning each time to my favorite places and neighborhoods, spending a few days soaking up the culture, the art, the fashionable shops, the architecture and of course. languishing, at my favorite sidewalk cafe. Not a day goes by that someone writes me on Facebook, LinkedIn or other social media source asking a similar variation of the same questions.”I would love to visit Paris, but I think it might cost too much. Does it?”What’s the best way to make a hotel reservation?”Is the Paris airport difficult to navigate?”Paris is on my bucket list. How long should I stay for my first visit?”How far is the Paris airport from the center of the city?” Is Paris a place to bring children on vacation?”.”Are the hotels in Paris expensive?”How much should I budget each day”?”Where do you stay when you are in Paris?”Are the metros in Paris safe?”I’m arriving in Paris on business and adding 2 or 3 days on the back end for leisure; what do you recommend I do in Paris with only 72 hours, a limited time?”.Hollywood has definitely played its part in romanticing Paris. And the glossy lifestyle magazines bring Paris into our homes with colorful photo spreads and glorius detail. And then one day. when you finally arrive in this much loved and talked about place. Guess what?Paris doesn’t disappoint. She never does. Paris is everything we see in the movies. And more. One never tires of this city. Walking, or more like, strolling. being the best way to savor each moment. So, although I normally create business courses and content; I decided to shift gears a bit, and share some of my personal intel and how I move about, in and around one of my favorite cities.#Paris #mysecondhomeVous allez certainement tomber amoureux de cet endroit.(You will definitely fall in love with this place). Thanks a million for joining me!
